Middle School Science and/or Bible Teacher

MVCA is seeking to expand our teaching staff and accepting applications for a full-time, kingdom-minded middle school science and/or bible teacher for the 2026-27 school year.  Our approach to this position is flexible, so the preferred curriculum schedule will be determined by the qualified applicant's strengths and interests as well as their best fit within our Upper School team.
The ideal candidate will join a team of experienced Christian educators who enthusiastically focus on the educational and spiritual growth and development of students in grades 6-8.  Candidates must have appropriate degrees for the field of study being taught. Preference will be given to applicants with a graduate degree. Must have appropriate certification for teaching in a Christian school setting (PECS, ACSI, etc.) or have enough qualifications so as to quickly receive certification. State licensure is not required but would be an asset. Experience in both public and private settings is preferred.  

The ideal candidate would further have excellent written and oral communication skills, dedication to team-oriented education, and a passion for developing the core principles of the faith in our students.  As MVCA actively grows from a small school into a medium-sized educational environment, the preferred candidate will be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the school and our families.  Our student body consists of diverse learners with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, so the ability to make subject matter accessible at each level is key.  A creative, highly motivated applicant will find a team willing to help them achieve the MVCA mission of "Bringing Students and Christ Together, One Lesson at a Time."

Afterschool Team Member

The Afterschool program team member supports the daily operations of the afterschool program by providing a safe, engaging, and positive environment for students' kindergarten-8th grade. This position assists with homework, supervises recreational and enrichment activities, and ensures that all students are accounted for and cared for during afterschool hours. The afterschool program runs Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm, when school is in session.

Requirements- Training through Ministry Safe, senior in high school or college age.

Elementary Teachers

MVCA is seeking to expand our teaching staff and accepting applications for elementary teachers for the upcoming school year.  Specific grade needs will be determined by qualified applicants and how they best with fit our current teaching team and growth needs. The ideal candidate would have the ability to teach up or down grade levels as needed.

Daycare Staff

Posted  05/2025. MVCA is now hiring dependable childcare workers who enjoy working with children ages 6 weeks to age 4. Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma. Applicants must be able to adhere to our statement of faith, statement on gender, marriage, and sexuality, and employee expectations as well as pass a background check. 
Full-time position. Wage dependent on qualifications and experience. Available right away.

Substitute Teachers

MVCA is seeking qualified, dedicated substitute teachers to add to our pool for all grades. Accepted candidates will have some kind of experience working with children in a teaching setting or a demonstrated ability to manage a group of students throughout the course of the day with organized activities. Applicants should have some knowledge and application of technology, superior communication skills, the ability to be well organized while dealing with a sometimes-chaotic environment, and be a good team player. Applicants must be able to adhere to our statement of faith, statement on gender, marriage, and sexuality, and employee expectations as well as pass a background check.
Pay: $75/day ($40/half-day)
Preferences: Can specify full-day or half-day as well as grade-level
